Thank You for Your Interest in Volunteering with the AIAA Rocky Mountain Section!


We are thrilled that you are considering donating your time and skills to support our activities and events. Volunteers like you are essential to our success, and we appreciate your commitment to our mission.


Volunteer Commitment: We ask that you commit to at least one event or task with an expectation of 1-3 hours per week. Some volunteer positions may require more time commitment depending on need. If, for any reason, you are unable to fulfill your commitment, please communicate with the committee lead as soon as possible. Your timely communication helps us ensure all events and tasks are adequately staffed and run smoothly.

Committee Needs:


Communications: Dedicated to keeping our members informed and engaged. We manage social media, produce newsletters, and ensure everyone stays updated on the exciting developments within our community. The committee also has two specialized roles, offering unique opportunities for those passionate about communication and coordination.


  • Newsletter Editor: Responsible for curating and creating content for the AIAA-RMS newsletter. This role involves gathering stories, editing submissions, and ensuring the newsletter is an informative and engaging resource for our members.

  • Volunteer Coordinator: Leads organizing and managing our volunteer efforts. This role ensures that our events and initiatives run smoothly with the help of dedicated volunteers.


Young/Early Career Professionals: Designed to connect the next generation of astronautics and aeronautics enthusiasts outside of the workplace. Event planning (Social hours, midnight hikes, movie night, facility tours, etc.). The committee currently meets on the 3rd Monday of every month.


STEM/STEAM/Education: Dedicated to inspiring and educating the next generation of aerospace enthusiasts. Our volunteers participate in STEM events, lead engaging activities with students, and speak about their careers at schools. This committee offers unique opportunities for those passionate about education and fostering a love for science and technology in young minds.
