On Monday, March 17, the UCCS AIAA student branch from the Colleges of Engineering and Applied Science and Letters, Arts, and Sciences took center stage at Aerospace Day at the Colorado State Capitol, showcasing the university's growing presence in the world of aerospace! The event was a thrilling celebration of space exploration, where enthusiasts, professionals, and industry leaders came together to discuss the latest breakthroughs in the field. With over 100 aerospace companies from across the region exhibiting their innovations, the conference was buzzing with energy and excitement.

The day kicked off with UCCS AIAA students actively engaging at the Rocky Mountain Section (RMS) booth, proudly promoting Colorado's dynamic aerospace community. One of the most exciting announcements came from UCCS, revealing that the university will host the highly anticipated AIAA-RMS Annual Technical Symposium on September 12, 2025. This major event will bring together over 300 aerospace professionals from across the region for panels, discussions, and an exclusive look at cutting-edge advancements in aerospace engineering. UCCS students, including Aeronautical Engineering majors Josh Pappas, Leslie Garcia, and Kinzy Pearson, along with Physics student Joseph Bates, all played a key role in this exciting endeavor under the guidance of their Faculty Advisor, Dr. Lynnane George.
